Stunning views, green silhouette setting! Truly a GEM!! We loved it and we spent about a half hour here! We recommend the bridge area to walk through and park so you don't have to use the stairs especially if you have little ones!! And the pics speak volumes for how green and magnificent the surroundings truly are!!! We watched the boats go by and took some great selfies for our trip album!!! A MUST DO!!!!
I loved this, as a kid we would go to the river and fish. We would take the hunters path down and be careful not to fall in the marsh. Most times we were on the other side of the river. This is an absolutely great way to see nature. Loved it!
A nice easy walk to the end of the tower overlook. It looks over the river & marshland area. Then you walk down wooden steps into the marshland area/deck. Enjoyed listening to the birds. Walked back up the trail path vs the steps.
Awesome little place to spend a couple hours. There is a trail that leads out into the marsh where you can observe birds, turtles, and other animals. There’s a trail leads up to an observation deck. The view from the deck observation deck is wonderful, you can see the river stretching along the horizon and the marshes below. Bring binoculars this is also a great place for birdwatching. Don’t forget the bug repellent. There is a porta potty in the parking lot.
We absolutely love this park. It has a beautiful boardwalk through the marsh with viewing points and benches. It has a canopy walk which is a quite long boardwalk at treetop level with a beautiful viewpoint. Nice trails. Beautiful birds. No charge for parking. There are lots of people on the weekends so we usually go during the week.
This is a great little park. You can do the trails in about an hour. The canopy trail is great . It takes you through the tree tops to an awesome overlook of the river. If you stand still at the overlook, you can feel it sway. There is also a boardwalk that takes you to the river. It is a very beautiful area. What a great place. While there isn't much in the way of trails, there is just enough to see to say it's not a time waster. Some places I go to are about 20 minutes in a out. The view alone makes this trip worth it. The few trails they do have lead back toward the river and across the way are a bunch of houses that have some noise pollution. But other than that I loved the trip
Sept. 3, 2022 - We loved this spot! Great place to stop off and lose yourself for an hrs or so hiking through the boardwalks toward a spectacular tower view of the Galien River and surrounding marsh land.
The view from the tower is special, not something you get to see everyday. There is another ramp and a separate set of stairs that will take you to another viewing platform right on the Galien River too, and you can fish from this platform.
Beautiful wild flowers surround you throughout the hike, tall grasses and Lilly pads once down in the lower viewing platform. Expect to enjoy your time here and give a friendly, "hello" to the nice people you'll see along the trek. Really cool place.
There was a sign that said the above is Phase I, so I'd be very excited what Phase II could bring. Thank you Pogagon Band for bringing this perspective to the eyes of our community and children. My wife and boys LOVED it!
